Short training programmes are offered to private consultants, agribusiness personnel, and grower groups in Integrated Pest Management, Queensland Fruit Fly identification, soil and plant nutrition, and irrigation management. Crop Tech has also run courses for many international groups, and a number of Queensland and interstate consultants. Crop Tech hosts the University of Qld Gatton Campus Agronomy students on an annual visit, and provides work experience, semester placements and research facilities for Degree, Masters, and PhD students.


Crop Tech has also run courses for many international groups, and a number of Queensland and interstate consultants. The modular system of training and Crop Tech software case studies as well as procedural and training manuals has also been an essential component of our international business.

IPM field training

Crop Tech also offers a range of accredited agronomic training courses to support our products and services. In the past these courses have been provided for a range of client demands including growers, consultants, product distributors, agronomists, consultants and company managers. Our training programs can be tailored to suit most situations that either a company, its employees or an individual may require. The training is aimed at delivering the latest in information and technology, with proven, practical in field results.

The Crop Tech training modules include the following:

  • Soil test interpretation (1 day)
  • Sap test interpretation (1½ days)
  • QuickSoil test interpretation (½ - 1 day)
  • Water test interpretation (¼ day)
  • Irrigation and soil moisture management (1 day)
  • CropSense installation, repair and data interpretation (1 - 2 days)

Comprehensive course outlines and training quotes are available on request.

Laptops are not essential, but are recommended for participation in the course. A training program will only be run if there is a minimum of three participants per class, unless special arrangements are made.
